Calling all healthcare payers and provider organizations with a great story to tell about cloud computing: HIMSS and Healthcare IT News are accepting speaking proposals for the inaugural Cloud Computing Forum on Feb. 19 at the HIMSS Annual Conference in Orlando.

Click here to submit a proposal and for additional information. The deadline to submit a proposal is Friday, 5 p.m.

For this event we want payer and provider organizations to share their experiences with cloud computing, all with the goal of presenting best practices, lessons learned and examining the state of cloud computing in healthcare.

This is one of the hottest topics in health IT, and despite persistent security concerns, more and more healthcare organizations are moving data and computing to the cloud. What do they know that non-cloud users don’t? What benefits does cloud computing offer their organizations? How have they addressed the security concerns?

The forum will address those questions head on and present sessions that examine the state of cloud computing in healthcare.
