#HIT100 list: Winners 6-10 announced

Much like the Top 5, the next set of social influencers includes familiar faces among the health IT experts on Twitter.

Healthcare IT News on Monday posted the top 5 winners of this year’s #HIT100 lineup and now the list’s founder, Michael Planchart, has shared the winners of slots 6-10.

The roster is based on 2,705 total nominations, which Planchart said is the most votes to date; previous year’s crowdsourced polling collected approximately 1,600 responses.

Here are influencers 6-10:

6. Mario Hyland @interopguy
Title: Senior Vice President and Founder
Company: AEGIS.net
Bio: Mario, also known as The Interoperability Sheriff, provides IT consulting services to federal civilian, defense and commercial sector clients. He has been a fixture within the HIMSS Interoperability Showcase for over five years, and offers guidance on interoperability and the integrated ecosystem to senior leadership within HL7, Sequoia, AMDIS, AMA, AHIMA, HIMSS, IHE USA and IHE International, along with federal agencies including Department of Veterans Affairs, Department of Defense and Health and Human Services.

7. John Lynn @techguy
Title: Founder
Company: HealthcareScene.com.
Bio: John is the founder of the HealthcareScene.com blog network that currently consists of 10 blogs containing over 10,000 articles with John having written over 5,000 of the articles himself. John also manages Healthcare IT Central and Healthcare IT Today, Health IT job board and blog.

8. Colin Hung @Colin_Hung
Title: Vice president of marketing
Company: Stericycle
Bio: Colin is also the co-founder of #hcldr - the healthcare leadership community that holds a tweetchat each Tuesday night. It's safe to say that Colin tweets a lot...especially from industry conferences where you will likely see him seated in a spot where he can get a good shot of both stage and screen. He was recently a social media ambassador at #HIMSS16 and #eHealth2016.

9. Nick Adkins @nickisnpdx  
Title: COO and co-founder
Company: ReelDx
Bio: In addition to being chief operating officer of ReelDx, the creators of the medvid.ioopen video messaging API for telehealth, Nick serves as a thought leader for Carnegie Mellon University regarding elder care innovation, the use of telemedicine and design initiatives aimed at helping seniors age in place more comfortably. He also sits on the advisory boards for BitCura, Faichi Solutions, Cloudbreak Health, and Carenection.

10. Bill Bunting @WTBunting
Title: Healthcare director
Company: EMC
Bio: Bill is an evangelist for person-centered innovation and emerging technologies, and an advocate for democratizing the delivery of patient care. He has particular interest in bringing all healthcare stakeholders together through the use of technology to advance the practice of medicine, improve health, and empower patients to be active participants in their own care.
