The Academic Medical Centre (AMC) in the Netherlands will renew its contract with healthcare IT company iSOFT for patient administration and care systems.

AMC, a major teaching hospital in Amsterdam, agreed to renew its contract for iSOFT's patient administration, patient care and patient logistics systems for a further three years.

The contract includes licences, maintenance and support. AMC is part of the University of Amsterdam and one of the country's largest hospitals. AMC has more than 1000 beds and admits 25,000 patients a year.

Gary Cohen, IBA's executive chairman and CEO, said, "This deal with AMC, together with similar agreements with hospitals in Rotterdam, Leiden and Friesland earlier this year, demonstrates the strength of the iSOFT brand in the Netherlands. These deals are a testimony to the commitment of our team in Holland, who have worked hard to enhance our relationships with our European customers."
