There are many cases of meaningful use of electronic medical records (EMRs) in the field right now, and Howard University Hospital's Diabetes Treatment Center is a terrific example. The Center integrated its EMR with personal health records (PHRs), which are being used by hundreds of diabetic patients for the purpose of managing their treatment online.
