The majority of respondents said the candidates should publicly discuss their health IT plans, citing the importance of health IT in health reform.
From meaningful use to ICD-10, health IT is a key component of many healthcare policies and regulations that aim to improve care and lower costs.
Only 16 percent said health IT does not have a place in the larger political arena.
The date range of the survey was August 22, 2012 to September 12, 2012.
