HIMSS President and CEO H. Stephen Lieber spoke to the audience about HIMSS' hopes for the new center. The HIMSS Innovation Center takes up the 30,000 square-foot space on the top floor. Demonstrating and testing interoperability among disparate healthcare technology systems would be a key component of the HIMSS Innovation Center, Lieber said.
Sister Judith Ann Karam, Sisters of Charity Health System, at the podium, tells the audience that the health system's participation in the Global Center for Health Innovation, will help it fulfill its mission. "We have a bold vision of being a Beacon of hope," she said. "Being here is really reflective of our vision."
