WebPT EMR adds customized evaluation templates to increase efficiency

November 16, 2011 | Industry News Release
Source: WebPT

PHOENIX – WebPT, the leading Electronic Medical Record system (EMR) for physical therapists, proves again its commitment to meeting the needs of its customers. Using feedback from its Idea Portal, support calls and general customer comments, WebPT announces the availability of Customized Initial Examination Templates. Physical therapists now have the option to customize their initial examination objectives to meet the specific needs of each clinic.

“Today, WebPT offers body part-specific templates that allow therapists to perform objective tests designated for those areas; however, all therapists don’t complete the exact same examination,” says Heidi Jannenga, PT, MPT, ATC/L, co-founder and COO for WebPT. “Having the ability to customize these templates to meet the need of an individual therapist’s focus not only improves efficiency, but also gives therapists the ability to focus on time spent with the patient. With this time-savings on documentation, the ROI for WebPT users just keeps getting better.”

Physical therapists can customize their examination templates to be tailored to a clinic-wide or therapist-specific profile. Customized templates make documenting more efficient by allowing the PT to focus only on the tests needed during the examination. WebPT takes ease of use a step further by allowing additional objective tests to be quickly added during the examination with a few simple clicks.

“We value our customer feedback,” said Paul Winandy, CEO of WebPT. “Early adopters of WebPT have been crucial to the development of our new features. We are constantly talking with our customers to understand what we can do to improve their practice and increase their bottom line. We believe that an EMR should make a clinic more efficient, but also increase revenue. By giving a PT more time to spend focusing on what is really needed during an initial exam will mean less wasted time on documentation.”
