ATLANTA – MedAssets Inc. has been selected to be the replacement for the Ascent, contract management solution, for hospitals from Thomson Reuters. The Ascent solution will be discontinued on December 31, 2012.
In order to ease the transition of its customers to a new contract management solution, Thomson Reuters conducted a thorough review of several vendors. MedAssets was chosen based on the product’s stability and its history of returning superior results to its customers.
“After reviewing all of the contract management options available, it was clear to us that the MedAssets solution offers the most potential for this group of customers,” said Ahsan Rahim, Vice President, Healthcare Provider Strategy, Thomson Reuters. “MedAssets’ Contract Manager solution has positive client references and a solid track record of success stories.”
“MedAssets is proud to help the Ascent contract management clients as their product is discontinued,” said Neil Hunn, Chief Financial Officer and President - Revenue Cycle Technology, for MedAssets.
