WETHERSFIELD – RJ Health Systems, the Connecticut-based drug information company, has unveiled a customizable Maximum Allowable Cost pricing database for pharmacy and medically covered generic drugs. CMAC was developed as an auditing tool or a replacement for an existing MAC program.
The RJ CMAC® Database is based on a comprehensive methodology that allows the user to view the drug name and strength crosswalked to the National Drug Codes and the medically covered drug to the Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System and Current Procedural Terminology.
Finding consistent, reliable billing and reimbursement data for generic products has long been a challenge. The RJ CMAC uses proprietary intelligence to arrive at a fair and equitable MAC for each specific generic product, from orals to injectables. The RJ CMAC pricing is designed to ensure cost-effective generic drug reimbursement.
The RJ CMAC program was developed in response to requests from our clients seeking more timely, comprehensive MAC information. With monthly updates, the database contains the most current information, ensuring that reimbursement rates reflect the current market environment.
Clients can customize the database to conform to their business needs, with flexibility for implementation into various claims processing systems. The RJ CMAC is available in Excel, ASCII, and as a web-based application.
