IRVING, TX – VHA Inc., the national health care network, has introduced Executive View as a component of its Leading Practices Portal. With Executive View, VHA member executives have access to organizational performance, leading practice knowledge, industry news and executive tools organized in an easy to access format. Topics of focus in Executive View include:
- clinical quality
- patient safety
- patient experience
- care coordination
- care management
Executive View also provides a new innovative tool called Executive Viewpoint, a tool designed to support executives in becoming champions in quality and safety improvement. With Executive Viewpoint, hospital executives can see potential opportunities for improvement and learn how their organizations' teams are engaging with the knowledge and tools available through the VHA member network.
"Hospital CEOs understand they are accountable for their organizations' clinical performance," said John Young, vice president of clinical improvement services at VHA. "With Executive Viewpoint, CEOs and other members of the executive team can become champions, leading their organizations to become better performers. Executive Viewpoint enables them to see their organization's priority areas and empowers them to connect their resources to the leading practices of other VHA members."
"The upgraded Leading Practices Portal is much easier to navigate," said Sandra Marshall, RN, MSN, senior vice president of organizational effectiveness at Covenant Health, Knoxville, Tenn. "What I like most is the ability to select a leading practice topic and with ease access any quality reports that show how the facility is doing. With the new tabs you can go right to documents as well as look at cultural considerations. For our organization, I believe more leaders will use this tool to research leading practices of interest to them."
VHA's Leading Practices Portal™ is a knowledge transfer platform that attracted more than 7,500 VHA member users last year as they engaged in knowledge transfer activities that were focused on improving clinical processes and eliminating safety issues. The site also enables VHA members to share ideas and collaborate around improvement, accelerating the dissemination of leading practices and driving results.
