BETHESDA, MD – GetWellNetwork, Inc., a provider of Interactive Patient Care (IPC) solutions, today announced that it has expanded its community of leading hospitals with the addition of new hospital deployments and recently signed multi-year agreements to provide patients and caregivers access to the innovative GetWellNetwork PatientLife System.
Underscoring GetWellNetwork's market leadership in IPC technology, five hospitals have recently launched the GetWellNetwork solution in their facilities, including:
- Adventist Health System, Florida Hospital East Orlando - Orlando, Fla.
- Children's National Medical Center new neonatal intensive care unit - Washington, D.C.
- Henry Ford West Bloomfield Hospital - West Bloomfield, Mich.
- Miami Children's Hospital - Miami, Fla.
- West Jefferson Medical Center - New Orleans, La.
"The launch of the GetWellNetwork system at Miami Children's Hospital has been a logical step emphasizing our commitment in providing patient and family directed care," said Kevin Hammeran, executive vice president and chief operating officer for Miami Children's Hospital. "The GetWellNetwork system allows us to educate, entertain, receive patient feedback and respond to this feedback in real time. The technology, combined with Miami Children's commitment to making our patients and their families active participants in their healthcare, will enhance safety, quality of service and patient satisfaction throughout our hospital."
In addition, GetWellNetwork has also signed six new multi-year contracts with the following hospitals:
- Adventist Health System, Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center - Daytona Beach, Fla.

"As we evaluated the landscape of solution providers for Interactive Patient Care, GetWellNetwork's unique approach to patient engagement stood out," said Stan Davis, vice president of support services at Cook Children's Medical Center. "During our process, we had an opportunity to attend GetWellNetwork's annual users conference and were impressed with the engagement of the client community and outcomes they were experiencing with the solution."
GetWellNetwork's bedside IPC technology helps hospitals actively engage patients in the care process to drive performance improvements in quality, service, operational efficiencies and new revenue opportunities. The PatientLife System transforms the in-room television into an interactive resource that delivers personalized information, education and communications tools to the bedside. In May, GetWellNetwork also launched the Institute for Interactive Patient Care (IIPC), a research institute dedicated to quantifying the efficacy of patient engagement on improving quality, safety and service outcomes; advocating on behalf of patients to establish and promote patient engagement standards and requirements for all healthcare providers; and offering leading tools and skills to effectively engage patients in the care process.
"We are excited about our continued growth over the past few months as we expand our client and patient community," said Michael O'Neil, Jr., founder and CEO of GetWellNetwork, Inc. "Healthcare leaders are recognizing the impact of patient engagement in improving performance outcomes and compliance with quality standards and are turning to GetWellNetwork to achieve this next level of patient care and hospital performance. We look forward to working with these leading hospitals across the country to make a difference in healthcare delivery and outcomes."
