EXTENSION, INC. announced today that it is the recipient of a Cisco Partner Summit regional award for Cisco Collaboration Excellence Partner of the Year for U.S. and Canada. Cisco unveiled the winners April 28 at its annual channel partner conference in San Francisco.

"It is an honor to present EXTENSION, INC. as a Cisco Partner Summit regional award winner," said Wendy Bahr, senior vice president, U.S. and Canada channels at Cisco. "The Cisco Collaboration Excellence Partner of the Year for US/Canada recognizes EXTENSION, INC.'s performance and achievements as a Cisco developer partner in the U.S. in 2009."

"Earning this award is very exciting because we have worked for years developing solutions that add clinical relevance to Cisco's UC platform," said Todd Plesko, CEO of EXTENSION, INC. "With our context-aware, interactive workflow solutions, large and small hospitals and ambulatory practices can improve communication, workflows and user satisfaction. Our Digital Physicians Office solution with Cisco and Allscripts, for example, provides hospital-grade, integrated workflow solutions to various types of physician's groups and complements our enterprise solutions for Contact Center, RTLS/RFID, and in-patient alerting.

Mr. Plesko added, "We add considerable value to the Cisco channel and their core offering of Cisco UC. Our Channel Account Executives are experienced healthcare account professionals who help joint resellers introduce innovative EMR, Cisco UC and EXTENSION workflow solutions into our healthcare community."

Cisco Partner Summit awards are presented at three levels: regional, theater and global. Cisco Partner Summit U.S. and Canada regional awards reflect a partner's performance in a given geographic region of the United States or Canada.
