Grand Rapids, MI (May 5, 2016) — eVideon (www.evideon.com) announces that it has been selected to install its Patient Experience Platform in the new Southeast Louisiana Veterans Health Care System (SLVHCS) in New Orleans.

“The new VA health care system in New Orleans has been designed to provide an environment that honors Veterans and their families,” said Jeff Ingle, founder and president of eVideon. “The new medical campus is literally the cornerstone for the emerging biosciences industry in New Orleans, which ties in perfectly with eVideon’s approach to interactive, personalized patient care.”

Southeast Louisiana Veterans Health Care System in New Orleans is known for providing quality, compassionate health care to Veterans. The new medical campus, which replaces the one damaged from flooding after Hurricane Katrina, is designed as a model for healthcare of the future. It will set the standard for world-class, patient-centered care for Veterans.

Located on Canal Street, the 200-bed medical center is approximately 1.7 million square feet and will serve nearly 70,000 Veterans.

SLVHCS is using eVideon throughout its campus to provide Veterans with a personalized experience that engages, educates and entertains them during their stay. Veterans have access to customized health education, television programming, movies on demand and hospital information on their in-room television.

eVideon’s platform enables SLVHCS to provide health education based on the individual Veteran's diagnosis, medications, treatment and procedures. The platform is customized to fit within the VA’s clinical workflows, allowing nurses to assign patient education content within VistA/CPRS, the VA’s electronic health record systems. The videos are delivered directly to the Veteran's television and are automatically documented back into the Veteran's electronic medical record.

Ingle explains, “The easy-to-use platform provides a personalized experience for each Veteran, while streamlining the documentation of educational content and patient feedback for clinical staff.”

“This is by far our largest installation for a VA hospital. Our technological capabilities allow us to easily scale eVideon across all the buildings on the 29-acre medical campus. Installation for the first inpatient rooms began in March, and by completion, eVideon will be installed in each of SLVHCS’s eight campus buildings,” said Ingle.
