SAN DIEGO – Concerro, Inc., the market leader in SaaS-based workforce management and emergency response systems that improve both the quality of life and the bottom line, today announced it will be previewing its new ShiftPredict™ schedule modeling tool at the ANCC National Magnet Conference, October 4-6, 2011 at Concerro booth #401 at the Baltimore Convention Center.

“Through our ongoing development efforts and partnerships, Concerro continues to supply healthcare providers with the most comprehensive staffing solutions available to help build dependable and efficient schedules and ensure quality and safe care with appropriate coverage,” said Graham Barnes, CEO of Concerro.

ShiftPredict, developed using a proprietary algorithm licensed from Workforce Prescriptions, uses historical staffing data to model and trend the target number of staff needed on a given day and shift to produce a more accurate staff schedule and ensure cost-effective staffing. ShiftPredict analyzes workload distribution, non-productive time and variability by season, month, day of the week and shift to build reliable staff schedules using accurate targets and flexing needs.

ShiftPredict can develop dynamic staffing grids for up to a year in advance, identifying full-time and part-time FTE allocation. Managers can easily identify in advance when staff is most likely to flex up or down and proactively plan their call-in or call-off sheets as needed. This predictive tool will reduce the time managers spend on schedule management and help support accurate budgeting.

As with all Concerro products, ShiftPredict includes training, implementation and consulting services by Concerro clinicians highly knowledgeable in industry and professional standards, including Joint Commission staffing effectiveness standards and state regulations. In addition, Concerro consultants educate managers on all aspects of predictive modeling, including the selection of the right variables to expertly model and budget schedules. Overall, Concerro is committed to making sure that all clients are able to successfully manage an effective and efficient scheduling process.

ShiftPredict can be used with any scheduling methodology, automated or manual. The modeling tool is initially scheduled for general availability in November 2011, and will be integrated with Concerro’s ShiftSelect™ staff scheduling and open shift management system by December 2011.
