ClearBalance introduces new app for Apple iPad and iPhone

November 04, 2011 | Industry News Release
Source: CSI Financial Services

SAN DIEGO – CSI Financial Services (CSI), the healthcare industry’s leader in providing patient-friendly bank loans through its ClearBalance® program, today introduced a new app for the Apple® iPad and iPhone. The new ClearBalance app will make it easier for hospitals to immediately help patients resolve their out-of-pocket hospital expenses with a patient friendly loan.

Bruce Weintraub, vice president of marketing, said the ClearBalance App links to the company’s proprietary web portal, ClearBalance PatientAssist Link. This implementation of the latest technology provides CSI’s healthcare partners with the ability to easily and quickly qualify patients for either an interest-free or low-interest loan to pay their hospital expenses with affordable monthly payments.

“Our clients have found that offering a loan program can measurably improve patient satisfaction and we further believe a core component is that the qualification process must be patient-friendly,” Weintraub said. “Our program is specifically designed to maximize patient satisfaction. For instance, we don’t require a written application and we make it extremely easy for everyone to qualify for ClearBalance loan.

“We have now taken the next step and introduced the ClearBalance App so that financial counselors can help patients qualify for a loan before they even leave the hospital. We understand that healthcare bills can often occur without warning. By making the ClearBalance loan program readily available, we further help our hospital partners meet the needs of their patients, increasing patient satisfaction.”

According to Mitch Patridge, CSI’s Chief Executive Officer, the entire patient qualification process is streamlined to not only eliminate the need for a written application, but also alleviate hospital staff from time-intensive and often tedious tasks.

“We’re constantly pursuing new ways to make enrollment in the ClearBalance program effortless and efficient for providers and patients,” Patridge said. “We want all patients to be able to benefit from the healthcare industry’s most accessible, patient-friendly loan program.”
