AUBURN HILLS, Mich. – In an unprecedented move, CJPS Medical Systems announces that it will no longer charge for any connectivity fees for caregivers to access patient data when using VitalPoint® HOME, its state-of-the-art remote patient monitoring system.

CJPS Medical Systems has been the leader in providing the easiest remote patient monitor for patients and caregivers to use, thanks to its “plug and play” setup, its color touch screen and multilingual audio prompts, and its legendary communication reliability.

Once again, the company leads the industry by being the first to offer this remote connectivity from “patients’ Home 2 physicians’ Office” (H2Oconnectivity™) at no cost to the patient or the caregiver. Imagine buying a cellular phone, and having no cell phone plan to purchase!

Another first for CJPS Medical Systems was its buy-back program, allowing users of remote patient monitors to upgrade their systems to VitalPoint® HOME, most cost effectively.

“Everyone agrees that the only way to provide better care to a rapidly aging population while reducing healthcare costs, given the shortage of nurses and physicians, is to enable and deploy homecare monitoring,” states Christophe Sevrain, the CEO of Michigan-based CJPS Medical Systems.

This move may signal a shift in the way providers of telemedicine, a field that is sure to expand, according to experts. Eight out of ten older adults are living with the health challenges of one or more chronic diseases, ones that are long lasting, incurable, or recurrent. For these patients, prevention of reoccurrence and health monitoring are critical to their recovery, safety and quality of life, for which remote patient monitoring (RPM) such a VitalPoint® HOME, has been shown to be extremely effective. They can help older patient’s slow progression of chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, congestive heart failure (CHF), chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and end-stage renal disease (ESRD).

VitalPoint® HOME is a standalone 4.5 lbs device that can monitor blood pressure, blood oxygen saturation, pulse rate, weight, glucose level, prothrombin time and ratios, temperature, fluid status, and provide electrocardiogram data, and provides the caregiver with the ability to remotely monitor patients’ conditions using their own computer, iPad, or cell phone.

“This is Healthcare IT at its best,” continues Sevrain. “Patients’ compliance to their treatment regimen, and the monitoring of their health to prevent adverse effects and hospital readmissions are absolutely critical to not only a reduction in the cost of care, but also to the quality of life of these patients affected by chronic diseases, or recently discharged from a healthcare facility,” he adds.
