L. Albert Villarin, Jr., MD, is national director, physician services for Thomson Reuters. Prior to joining Thomson Reuters in July 2009, he served for nine years as emergency physician and CMIO at Albert Einstein Healthcare Network in Philadelphia. Villarin still works -- on a reduced schedule -- in the emergency department at Albert Einstein. He recently was a member of a panel on physician engagement in healthcare IT that Healthcare IT News Editor Bernie Monegain led at the iHTT Summer Health IT Summit in Denver.
