Shareable Ink, a Nashville-based healthcare information technology company, announced that healthcare providers at River Park Hospital in McMinnville, Tenn. are utilizing the company’s digital pen and paper technology to document anesthesia cases. Clinicians’ pen strokes are converted to actionable electronic data, supporting government and industry pressures to automate patient medical records.

Microsoft announced that TeamPraxis, Hawaii’s physician management services organization, has selected its Amalga health intelligence platform to bolster TeamPraxis’ existing physician information network. Using Amalga, TeamPraxis will create a sophisticated online network that aggregates and shares electronic patient information among more than 1,000 of Hawaii’s independent physicians, as well as local hospitals, pharmacies, medical laboratories and other ancillary service providers, to enable a comprehensive view of the patient at the point of care.

Philips
announced the launch of SpeechExec Enterprise 4.0, the latest version of its new dictation management software solution. The software update boosts advanced speech-recognition workflow capabilities, a simplified user interface and is certified Citrix-ready.

ChartWise Medical Systems announced its partnership with H.I.Mentors, a leading health information management and revenue cycle management consulting firm. As a result of the new partnership, H.I. Mentors will provide ChartWise customers with a preliminary review of their clinical documentation improvement process as well as training, which will optimize the implementation of ChartWise Medical Systems’ software.
 
GHX, announced new features and enhancements to its global trading exchange services and two of its software products. GHX unveiled enhancements to OnDemand AP, an accounts payable automation solution, and Procurement Suite, a spend management solution. It also announced improvements to its flagship GHX Exchange Services to make it easier and faster for manufacturers and distributors to connect to their customers.
 
Integrated Document Solutions has released the latest version of its AbbaDox modular healthcare workflow and documentation portal, featuring cross-platform compatibility and a new streamlined user interface. With its latest release, AbbaDox is now accessible using multiple hardware devices and operating systems while allowing users to retrieve information and worklists using their preferred web browser on any Windows or Apple environment.

Miles Technologies recently updated its website with digital videos highlighting its business technology solutions for information technology, custom software and web design and marketing. The website upgrade integrates professional videos with traditional website content providing a user-friendly multimedia experience for website visitors. The videos feature cross-browser compatibility and play on both PCs and Macs. Additionally, the IT Company’s design experts formatted the videos to play on multiple mobile devices, including iPads, iPhones and Droids.

CareTech Solutions announced that Lutheran Medical Center in Brooklyn selected the company’s Service Desk, a healthcare-specific IT help desk, to support physicians and staff in their use of the hospital’s all new electronic medical record (EMR).
 
MedPlus, the healthcare IT subsidiary of Quest Diagnostics, announced that St. Joseph Health System (SJHS), which is based in California and operates facilities in three states, will increase efficiency, streamline operations, and eliminate multiple manual medical records and imaging systems by implementing the award-winning ChartMaxx solution.

GE Healthcare has announced the release of its Optima PET/CT 560 scanner. It provides high productivity and a patient friendly experience with low dose and superb image quality, and features a full uninterrupted two-meter body scan, the Optima PET/CT 560 can save up to 15 minutes per exam by eliminating patient repositioning.

McKesson announced that Radiology & Imaging in Springfield, Mass. and Seacoast Radiology in Rochester, N.H., have joined other radiology practices in the Northeast using McKesson's Revenue Management Solutions (RMS) to optimize financial performance. With the industry’s most robust radiology billing and compliance solutions and extensive business intelligence capabilities, McKesson’s technology and services are designed to help the groups grow revenue, control costs and mitigate regulatory risks.
