Proventys, Newton, Mass.-based maker of advanced decision support technologies, has entered into an exclusive collaboration with the National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN) to introduce the Proventys CDS Oncology  system, a first-of-its-kind Web platform that arms oncologists with expert recommendations and evidence facilitating the delivery of high-quality, individualized patient care. Through this collaboration, Proventys and NCCN are bringing together the recognized standard in oncology clinical guidelines and novel informatics technologies to help clinicians optimize treatment decisions for patients while improving practice efficiencies.

athenahealth
, of Watertown, Mass., has been selected by the Indiana Health Information Technology Extension Center (I-HITEC) as the organization looks to assist 2,200 Indiana primary-care providers adopt electronic health record and e-prescribing technology. I-HITEC, funded by a $12 million American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) grant, will assist health-care professionals in selecting and implementing health-care information technology software.

eClinicalWorks, of Westborough, Mass., announced that St. John Providence Health System, the largest provider of inpatient care in southeast Michigan, will be offering the eClinicalWorks comprehensive electronic health record (EHR) solution for its approximately 3,000 employed and affiliated physicians. This solution includes eClinicalWorks electronic medical records (EMR) system, eClinicalWorks Electronic Health eXchange (eEHX), Enterprise Business Optimizer (eBO), eClinicalWorks P2P, eClinicalMobile and eClinicalMessenger.

SRS, Montvale, N.J.-based provider of productivity-enhancing technology and services for high-performance physician specialty practices, is collaborating with Ingenix to expand the options available to help SRS’s clients optimize their clinical, financial, and administrative operations. SRS can now provide physicians’ practices with a Web-based practice management (PM) and scheduling system from Ingenix that is fully integrated with the SRS hybrid electronic medical record (EMR). The product will be co-branded as the SRS CareTracker PM, powered by Ingenix, and will be serviced and supported by SRS.
 
MedicExchange, of New York, has announced the beta launch of the Product Comparison Engine, a free tool that helps MedicExchange’s 75,000 members conduct pre-purchase research by saving time and matching them with the most relevant piece of healthcare equipment or software. The Product Comparison Engine currently compares PACS systems and will soon compare products from other Diagnostic Imaging modalities such as MRI, CT, PET and PET-CT.



AdvancedMD Software, Draper, Utah-based maker of all-in-one, web-based practice management, electronic health record (EHR), and billing applications for medical practices and medical billing services, announced that PhySource Solutions, Inc., an AdvancedMD AdvancedBiller partner, has achieved two significant milestones in client service and company growth. On average, over the past 12 months the company’s new clients have reduced outstanding accounts receivable balances considered uncollectible from 30 percent to 2 percent. This caliber of results has fueled more than 100 percent growth in the company’s client list over the past year.

NextGen Healthcare Information Systems announced it has executed an agreement with EyeHealth Northwest to deploy NextGen Ambulatory EHR and NextGen Practice Management across its 11 offices, 11 optical shops and two surgery centers in Oregon. EyeHealth Northwest is one of 19 ophthalmology practices to choose NextGen® technology during the second quarter of 2010, bringing the company’s total ophthalmology-specific client base to nearly 500 practices.

Carestream Health, of Rochester, N.Y., announced that Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston has purchased four CARESTREAM DRX-Evolution suites for use in its ambulatory care and outpatient facilities. These advanced digital x-ray systems help enhance patient care, while simultaneously equipping healthcare facilities to improve productivity and reduce equipment expenses. The DRX-Evolution systems employ the company’s highly successful wireless DRX-1 digital radiography detector.

CynergisTek, Austin, Tex.-based provider of security solutions for healthcare organizations, and NitroSecurity, of Portsmouth, N.H. a maker of high-performance, content-aware security information and event management solutions (SIEM), announced that Oregon-based St. Charles Health System has selected their solutions to comply with the healthcare security regulations under HIPAA and the Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinic Health (HITECH) Act, while improving its overall security management capabilities.
