Picis, Inc. of Wakefield, Mass. has announced that Abington Memorial Hospital in Abington, Pa. has implemented the Picis ED PulseCheck emergency department information system (EDIS), integrating it with Eclipsys Sunrise Manager, the hospital's existing hospital information system.

Imprivata, a Lexington, Mass.-based provider of identity management services, has signed an Australian partnership agreement with CoreSight, a Melbourne, Australia-based security specialist.

Affiliated Computer Services, Inc. of Dallas has announced a new contract with the Alaska Department of Health and Social Services to design, develop, implement and operate a new Medicaid Management Information System. The contract has a length of as many as 10 years and a total value of $130 million, if three one-year options are exercised.

Texas Instruments has announced that it is working with Microsoft to bundle software on TI's wireless products that will enable connected consumer health devices to operate with Microsoft's newly launched HealthVault consumer health platform.

LiveData, Inc., a Cambridge, Mass.-based provider of real-time integration and display technology, has announced that Massachusetts General Hospital has expanded its deployment of LiveData OR Dashboard and incorporated its functionality into future OR design, construction and renovation plans.

Henry Schein Medical Systems of Melville, N.Y. has announced that the following large medical groups have selected MicroMD PM (Practice Management) software: Cura Management Technologies of Baltimore, The Delta Resource Group of Olympia, Wash., FCHC Medical Care of Wauseon, Ohio, Henderson Minor Outpatient Medicine of Henderson, Ky. and Pensacola Nephrology of Pensacola, Fla.

NextPhase, a Peabody, Mass.-based provider of IT asset disposition services enabling secure and cost-effective disposal of outdated and obsolete IT assets, has announced that its technology will be offered to customers of Allscripts, a Chicago-based provider of clinical software, connectivity and information solutions used by physicians.

Allscripts has also announced that Lakeside Systems, Inc. of Southern California will deploy the company's electronic health record for at least 100 physicians.

Medline Industries of Mundelein, Ill. and OCS, Inc. of Seattle have announced a partnership to introduce Medline Wound Care Reports, wound dashboards that will be available to Medline customers as a specialized report collection available in Home Health Connection, the performance analysis program from OCS.

Hyland Software has announced that the Westchester Medical Group has successfully implemented the OnBase Medical Record Release of Information (ROI) module.

Cleveland-based Within3 has announced a partnership with the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) to enhance networking and information sharing among residents of the Department of Psychiatry and Biobehavioral Sciences.

Royal Philips Electronics, based in the Netherlands, and St. Paul, Minn.-based 3M Health Information Systems have announced that SpeechMagic, Philips' speech recognition engine, will be integrated into 3M's document creation suite of products.

MEDHOST, an Addison, Texas-based provider of emergency department information systems (EDIS), has announced that Doctor's Center Hospital in Manati, Puerto Rico will be the first hospital in the territory to implement the company's EDIS solution.

Eclipsys, of Boca Raton, Fla., has announced that SingHealth, the largest healthcare provider in Singapore, has selected Eclipsys Sunrise Clinical Manager as its electronic medical record platform.

The Medical Simulation Corporation of Denver has announced a partnership with the Methodist DeBakey Heart Center in Houston to allow Methodist's cardiologists and surgeons learn, practice and update surgical and interventional skills with MSC's SimSuite simulated education services.

Nuance Communications of Burlington, Mass. has announced that the Baylor Healthcare System in Dallas has selected Dictaphone's iChart hosted transcription services as well as dictation, transcription and speech recognition solutions. In addition, Nuance has unveiled the next generation of its Enterprise Express Speech System, a speech-assisted transcription solution.

Niceware Healthcare of Milwaukee has announced a partnership with the Identification Systems Group, a national association of 45 companies in the identification and card issuance industry, to promote identification solutions that are based on bar code and RFID software technology.

Samarion, Inc. of Jackson, Miss. has introduced SamarionSolution, an Enterprise Quality Improvement System designed for nursing homes.

NTRglobal, a Dallas-based provider of remote support, access and systems management solutions, has announced that its remote support software, NTRsupport, has added multi-monitor support in response to the increasing number of employees who use two or more screens on the job.

St. Petersburg, Fla.-based EpicTide, a provider of proactive privacy monitoring solutions for healthcare providers, has announced that, based on its financial results through September 2007, the company expects to finish this year with 300 percent revenue growth.

Microlife USA, Inc. of Dunedin, Fla. has launched the Microlife Blood Pressure Monitoring and Peak Flow/FEV1 Monitoring drivers as part of Microsoft's new HealthVault consumer health platform.

New Century Infusion Solutions of Brea, Calif. has announced its launch as an integrated single specialty provider (ISSP) focused on providing comprehensive management solutions for the oncology market.

Quest Diagnostics, Inc. of Lyndhurst, N.J., a provider of diagnostic testing, information and services, and Allscripts have announced that Quest has joined the National e-Prescribing Patient Safety Initiative (NEPSI). As a result, physician users of NEPSI's eRx NOW Web-based electronic prescribing application, provided free by Allscripts, will have access to electronic laboratory orders and results capabilities from Quest at no charge.

3n (National Notification Network) of Glendale, Calif. has announced the availability of InstaCom 5.0, a mass notification system designed to meet the needs of large organizations, including healthcare providers.

Palisade Systems of Ames, Iowa, a provider of data loss prevention and compliance solutions, has announced that Heartland Health, an integrated healthcare system including a medical center, physician practices, foundation and health plan, has deployed the company's flagship product, PacketSure 6.0, to protect private health information from being transmitted out of the network.

GE Healthcare has completed its acquisition of Dynamic Imaging LLC, a provider of Web-based image and information management services. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Sunquest Information Systems of Tucson, Ariz. has announced its formation and status as a privately held corporation. The company was formed when Vista Equity Partners completed the acquisition of the Diagnostics Systems unit of Misys Healthcare.

The Medsphere Systems Corporation, an Aliso Viejo, Calif.-based provider of open source-based electronic health record systems and services, has announced an agreement to implement its OpenVista EHR platform at Century City Doctors Hospital in Los Angeles.

MedPlexus, a Sunnyvale, Calif.-based developer of administrative, financial and clinical software for physician practices, has entered into a master development and distribution agreement with Mobile Airwaves of San Francisco, allowing Mobile Airwaves to be the exclusive technology supplier for specified projects requiring remote delivery of telemedical date, communication, video and patient record information.

Portland, Ore.-based Kryptiq has announced that MedStar Health, a non-profit healthcare organization based in the Baltimore-Washington D.C. area, has selected the company's CareManager and ConnectIQ Suite to enhance chronic care management and enable secure online communication with patients.

Initiate Systems of Chicago has announced that National Instruments, the developer of the LabVIEW product for the healthcare segment, will; be deploying Initiate Organization, Initiate Cunsumer (formerly known as Identity Hub Software) and Inspector for Relationships to create a single view of customers located in 40 countries.

Thunderhead, an Irvine, Calif.-based enterprise communications company, has announced the launch of the Thunderhead NOW XML-based communications platform.

Healthwise, a Park City, Utah-based non-profit, has announced the launch of 15 new Ix HealthMastery Campaigns with Ix Conversations, designed to help patients manage complex medical conditions. The products are licensed to health plans and other organizations that in turn provide them to members.
