MedeAnalytics announced the launch of its Value-Based Purchasing Resource Center. As a service to the healthcare industry, the center provides objective educational information on the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services’ value-based purchasing program.

eClinicalWorks announced that Ohio’s Adena Health System has chosen the eClinicalWorks comprehensive electronic health records (EHR) solution for its 150 employed physicians. Designed to improve communication with access to real-time information, it will also be offered to non-affiliated community practices.

McKesson announced that 44 managed care organizations have licensed its molecular and genetic diagnostic management solutions, including recent new health plan customers Molina Healthcare, Inc., Paramount Healthcare, and Providence Health Plans, part of the five-state Providence Health & Services. These organizations are using McKesson offerings to help manage the enormous growth, complexity and costs associated with molecular and genetic testing.   

Shareable Ink and Waiting Room Solutions (WRS) announced a partnership that combines digital pen and paper with WRS' Web-based ambulatory EHR. The partnership helps eliminate the lost productivity associated with implementing an ambulatory EHR, which historically has been a major barrier to widespread adoption.
 
SRS announced that Danbury Orthopedic Associates has selected the SRS electronic health record for its 20 providers. Danbury Orthopedic Associates has 4 offices and their physicians have staff privileges at Danbury Hospital and the Danbury Surgical Center.

Claron Technology announced two new integrations of its zero footprint Nil viewer with CoActiv Medical and Voyant Health cloud based solutions. Nil is a software solution allowing clinicians to securely visualize 2D and 3D imaging studies inside or outside the hospital network.

Wolters Kluwer Health announced the release of a query tool that streamlines the collection of quality data for the GI Quality Improvement Consortium Ltd. (GIQuIC) benchmarking initiative. Part of ProVation MD for gastroenterology (GI) procedure documentation and coding, the query tool also allows for easy collection of data in an approved format that can then be submitted to GIQuIC.
 
Carestream Health is sponsoring an upcoming seminar designed to educate radiology professionals about meaningful use criteria as it relates to electronic medical records.
“The Evolution of Meaningful Use in Radiology” seminar was developed for radiologists, radiology administrators, chief information officers, chief administrators, RIS/PACS administrators and senior technologists.
