Allscripts-Misys Healthcare Solutions of Chicago has announced that the Heritage Valley Health System, which serves southwestern Pennsylvania, has selected the Allscripts Enterprise Electronic Health Record for its 160 employed physicians.

Siemens Healthcare, based in Malvern, Pa., has announced that the MedCentral Health System in Mansfield, Ohio, has launched the company’s new Soarian Quality Measures data mining tool, enabled by the Reliable Extraction and Meaningful Inference from Non-structured Data (REMIND) platform. The application is deigned to help MedCentral streamline its quality management process by automating chart abstraction and helping to expedite the submission of quality measures, as defined by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and the Joint Commission.

Medversant Technologies, LLC of Los Angeles has added contract management to its on-demand integrated provider management (IPM) platform, powered by AutoVerifi.

LYNX Medical Systems of Bellevue, Wash., a subsidiary of Picis, has announced a partnership with Sentara Healthcare, based in Virginia, to design and deliver packaged integration between the Picis LYNX E/Point emergency department revenue management solution and the Epic Systems Corporation’s ED information system.

Ingenix, based in Eden Prairie, Minn., has launched Ingenix Revenue Manager, a suite of new software applications designed to help hospitals track, manage and automate revenue cycle functions, improve billing accuracy and reduce claims denials and administrative processes. In addition, the company has announced that Temple University Physicians is extending its use of the CareTracking Billing Services suite to its radiology department.

Commtech Wireless, a division of Minneapolis-based Amcom Software, has achieved certification as a developer partner for Vocera’s wireless voice communication system. The Commtech Messenger system will enable organizations to connect critical monitoring and alert systems to the Vocera communications system.

Bridgehead Software, a Woburn, Mass.-based provider of disaster recovery and archiving technologies for acute care electronic health record systems, has launched a new BH OfficeStore solution suite, designed to provide a platform for office productivity applications.

HealthcareSource, a Winchester, Mass.-based provider of taken management software for healthcare, is adding three new partner programs for background screening vendor integration: Certiphi Screening, HireRight and Universal Background Screening.

7 Medical Systems, LLC, a Minneapolis-based provider of on-demand picture archiving and communications, teleradiology and electronic medical record solutions, has announced that the Glacial Ridge Health System in Glenwood, Minn., has implemented 7 Medical’s on-demand PACS and seen a 50 percent cost reduction over film.

DocuSys, Inc., an Atlanta-based provider of anesthesia information, medical and presurgical care management systems, has signed an agreement with Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dothan, Ala., to upgrade to the latest version of the company’s Anesthesia and Drug Management Suite and purchase the company’s Presurgical Care Management System.

Hologic, a Bedford, Mass.-based developer of diagnostics and medical imaging systems designed for women, has received Food and Drug Administration (FDA) clearance for its R2 DigitalNow HD software application, designed to process digitized screen-film mammograms for comparison purposes.

Merge Healthcare, based in Milwaukee, has begun an exchange offer for all of the outstanding shares of common stock of etrials Worldwide, Inc., of Morrisville, N.C., pursuant to the company’s previously announced plan to acquire etrials. The exchange offer is scheduled to expire at midnight July 14.

Entra Health Systems of San Diego has launched a program to provide free diabetic testing meters to clinics, community health organizations and rural health groups serving the Hispanic, Native American and other underserved diabetic populations in the United States. The company will provide MyGlucoHealth meter kits to support clinical testing programs and grant-funded studies to investigate the effectiveness of using online data tools to improve the care of diabetics and reduce the overall cost of treatment.

The NCR Corporation of Duluth, Ga., has launched NCR Payment Manager, a scalable software application designed to allow healthcare patients to pay bills and make co-payments at a kiosk, online or via a mobile device.

The HLTH Corporation of Elmwood Park, N.J., has announced plans to merge with its publicly traded subsidiary, the WebMD Health Corp., to be named WebMD.
