Concerro, Inc., a San Diego-based developer of hospital shift and disaster workforce management solutions, has enhanced its newly acquired CommandAware hospital incident management system by adding a location-based intelligence tool to help users identify and interact more efficiently with regional data.

Medversant Technologies, a Los Angeles-based developer of Web-based credential verification solutions for healthcare providers, has received certification from the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA).

NextGen Healthcare Information Systems, Inc., of Horsham, Pa., has signed a deal with Rockingham Memorial Hospital, an independent community hospital that serves a seven-county area in Virginia, to deploy the NextGen CHS community health solution, NextGen electronic health record, NextGen EPM enterprise practice management and NextGen ICS image control system.

The MRO Corporation, a King of Prussia, Pa.-based developer of shared-service, release-of-information and audit-tracking solutions for healthcare providers, has acquired the assets of Record Enterprises, Inc., a Midlothian, Va.-based provider of release-of-information solutions.

TeraMedica Healthcare Technology
, based in Milwaukee, has been granted a U.S. medical imaging patent for its Evercore-Smartstore clinical content management system.

Upp Technology, based in Downers Grove, Ill., has enhanced its irms/EM emergency management software to streamline the order fulfillment and distribution process of H1N1 vaccines and personal protective equipment to partner agencies, private facilities and other recipients. The company has also enhanced its irms/PM patient management software to allow for more flexible and faster patient processing. Finally, the company has announced that it will provide a centralized emergency management solution for the Tennessee Department of Health.

MaxMD, a Fort Lee, N.J.-based provider of interoperable encrypted network technology for the healthcare industry, has been selected by United Physicians of Charleston, the largest independent physicians association in South Carolina, to provide encrypted communications and other Web services for the association’s clinical integration initiative.

Vangent, an Arlington, Va.-based provider of information management and strategic business process outsourcing solutions, is partnering with the Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta to provide job opportunities for some of Morehouse’s second-year graduate students pursuing a Master of Public Health degree.
