Vendor Notebook: Beacon Partners expands HIPAA and HITECH services

Beacon Partners announced the expansion of its HIPAA and HITECH privacy and security services into the Enterprise Information Assurance practice. Officials say the practice will help optimize the security of patient information and organizational data to mitigate risks and increase regulatory compliance.

Health Language, Inc. (HLI) announced that MDeverywhere, a provider of physician revenue cycle management services, has selected its Language Engine (LE) and provider friendly terminology (PFT). MDeverywhere will integrate the HLI software with its Web-based charge capture software to make it easier for clinicians to record diagnoses and problems, while supporting standardized terminologies such as SNOMED CT and ICD-10.

Tools4ever launched a new version of its Enterprise Single Sign On Manager (E-SSOM) including “E-SSOM Anywhere.” The latest version of E-SSOM supports Firefox browsers and allows users to maintain access to their single sign on accounts remotely outside an organization’s network.

McKesson announced that Peoria Tazewell Pathology Group (PTPG), a 13-physician pathology practice based in Peoria, Ill., will re-engineer its revenue cycle with assistance from McKesson Revenue Management Solutions (RMS). By partnering with McKesson, PTPG expects to increase collections, strengthen financial reporting and improve ICD-10 and other regulatory compliance issues, officials say.

BridgeHead Software announced that its Healthcare Data Management (HDM) Solution successfully passed the European Connectathon for Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise (IHE) in Bern, Switzerland. BridgeHead's XDS repository and ancillary systems were tested alongside 24 other healthcare IT systems to demonstrate enterprise wide healthcare collaborative potential.

Infor announced that Huntington Memorial  Hospital, a 625-bed non-profit, community-focused regional medical center in California, has selected the company's solutions to enable better, faster decision-making and increase overall operational efficiencies.

AlliedHIE and ICA announced that a live DIRECT and Health Information Services Provider (HISP) network has been established under AlliedHIE’s management, known as Allied-DIRECT.
