AT&T has partnered with Acuo Technologies, a provider of comprehensive software solutions to the medical imaging industry for archiving, collaboration and migration services. The strategic alliance is meant to develop vendor-neutral, cloud-based medical imaging storage solutions for healthcare providers and suppliers. Acuo is the latest technology ally to join the AT&T ForHealth portfolio of mHealth, cloud-based and telehealth products and solutions.
SFW Capital Partners, a private equity firm that invests with management in mid-sized companies providing analytical tools and related services, announced that it has purchased MD Buyline, a provider of strategic information and analyses to healthcare services companies. SFW is joined in this investment by members of the senior management of the company. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
SCIOinspire, a premier provider of analytics-driven business process solutions for health plans and hospitals, announced it has acquired National Audit, a healthcare claims audit and payment integrity services provider to large commercial, Medicare and Medicaid payers, as well as Pharmacy Benefit Managers (PBM). The acquisition elevates SCIOinspire to a top-tier, independent cost-management and care quality-improvement company with the most comprehensive set of solutions in the healthcare industry.
Dr. Chrono, maker of tablet and Web-based healthcare technology, recently completed a week-long tour of Haiti, whereby it donated its time, equipment and services to rendering much-needed modern health care services. Dr. Chrono partnered with World Wide Village’s (WWV) Community Health Initiative to utilize its one-of-a-kind iPad EMR platform in the care of those still struggling in the wake of last year’s devastating earthquake. The TriZetto Group announced the general availability of its FacetsTM 4.8 release, the newest version of the company’s enterprise core administration platform. This newest release introduces more than 80 enhancements that can help increase administrative efficiency for health plans. The Facets system automates membership enrollment, premium billing, claims adjudication, customer service and other administrative functions of 82 payers with more than 90 million covered lives.
T-System, developer of clinical, business and I.T. solutions for emergency medicine, announced that its emergency department information system, T SystemEV, successfully completed a series of interoperability tests at the recently held 12th annual Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise (IHE ) North America Connectathon in Chicago.
Medicity has also announced successful validation of its interoperability expertise at the Connectathon. During the five-day event, Medicity demonstrated interoperability with more than 40 organizations and early adoption of new, HIE-focused standards using its MediTrust and ProAccess products.
Capsule, the provider of medical device connectivity, announced that it has sold over 1,100 Capsule Neurons to more than 35 hospitals in less than 10 months since its release. Facilities such as Parkview Health and Mercy Health System chose the Capsule Neuron because of its revolutionary design that integrates with existing technologies and clinical workflows.
