MANNHEIM, GERMANY – Terso Solutions, Inc., based in Madison, Wis., has expanded to Mannheim, Germany due to increasing demand for the company’s radio frequency identification technology in Europe.
The company's new facility will manufacture RFID-enabled appliances that include refrigerators, freezers and cabinets for industries that include healthcare, life sciences and security.
“Establishing Terso assembly and technical services capabilities in Europe illustrates our long-term commitment to meeting the needs of our clients on a global basis,” said Joe Pleshek, Terso's president and CEO. “With the new production facility in Germany, we’re able to deliver our products sooner to our European customers and eliminate unnecessary transportation, which helps our worldwide sustainability efforts.”
Company officials said Terso has been providing RFID appliances for managing high-value products. Since 2005, Terso has worked with product manufacturers, distributors and end users to enable them to reduce inventory management costs and write-offs due to expiration date management and improve their ability to meet regulatory requirements, said Terso officials.
