New Gloucester, ME – Healthcare IT companies outperformed other tech stocks according to the Healthcare IT News StockWatch. The StockWatch compares the tech-heavy Nasdaq index against a select list of 70 publicly traded companies that play in the healthcare IT space.

Between Nov. 9 and Dec. 10, the Healthcare IT News StockWatch average rose by 5.13 percent, while the Nasdaq average rose 3.98 percent. Among the stocks tracked, healthcare payer Aetna picked up more than 18 points in the timeframe. At the other end, Misys slid 7.75 points.
