PLYMOUTH MEETING, PA – SDI, a provider of de-identified patient-level data analytics, announced Monday an ongoing program that will offer several academic grants to foster innovative health data research.

The grants will offer full-time faculty members from colleges, universities, teaching hospitals and other research facilities healthcare data to perform retrospective studies and evaluate key healthcare questions. SDI will provide access to its longitudinal prescription data; medical claims data; or, alternatively, its market research audit trend data that reports on the diagnosis and treatment of patients and contributing factors.

“Our hope is that having access to data that is not often available in the public domain will allow researchers to develop novel approaches to research that will ultimately contribute to the ability of healthcare providers to offer higher-quality healthcare,” said Andrew Kress, chief executive officer of SDI. “We are excited about the caliber of work we will see from the grant recipients.”
