RESTON, VA – QuadraMed, which develops software for healthcare information management, and Elsevier, the publisher of scientific, technical and medical information, have announced an alliance that combines QuadraMed’s training tools with Elsevier’s educational courses to ease ICD-10 transition.

By pairing Elsevier / MC Strategies in-depth ICD-10 e-learning suite with QuadraMed’s ICD-10 Countdown Program, officials say, health systems and hospitals will be able to better prepare for the ICD-10 transition deadline in October 2013, while minimizing disruptions to workflow and billing.

The e-learning suite, which will be offered through QuadraMed’s ICD-10 Countdown Program, offers numerous ICD-10 topics and tracts, including:

In 2009, QuadraMed rolled out one of the industry’s first comprehensive ICD-10 preparation programs, which currently provides health systems with software, education, guidance and training tools specific to the ICD-10 transition. QuadraMed’s ICD-10 Coding Simulator, which is part of the program, uses the full set of ICD-10 codes so that healthcare organizations can better prepare for the transition.

By combining Elsevier’s e-learning courses with QuadraMed’s ICD-10 countdown program, users will be able to practice coding scenarios in a simulated coding environment while reviewing leading educational materials, resulting in a powerful training and learning program.
