WASHINGTON - A wireless technology provider and healthcare products manufacturer are teaming up to create a wireless skin patch that aims at reducing medical errors.
Frank Sammeroff Ltd, located in Glasgow, Scotland, a provider of surgical dressings, healthcare products and first aid kits is partnering with Gentag, Inc., a Washington-based company that patented the concept of using a cell phone as a universal reader for disposable wireless sensors.
The companies have formed an alliance to create smart, wireless, RFID skin patches and matching-cell phone software for identification and diagnostic applications.
