J Dennard says: Niche EMR Vendors Definitely in Demand
March 17, 2011 | 3:02PM GMT

Niche EMR vendors like the ones mentioned above will become more and more talked about as docs make the transition to digital. Some of the providers I met at HIMSS were there specifically to find EMRs to fit their practice's very specific needs - kind of like finding a needle in a haystack at such a large show. I wouldn't be surprised if these types of vendors were more front and center at next year's show.

intenseRDH says: Niche EMR list
March 17, 2011 | 1:40PM GMT

I am wondering why your article Poll ranks top 'niche EMR vendors' isn’t a comprehensive list?
Is this list based solely on the vendors who advertise with you?
I don’t feel it is an accurate and fair representation of “niche EMR vendors”.
There are at least 2 EMR vendors that are outstanding in their respective specialties...Soapware has no niche - they are general. A good product, but general.
