BOSTON – To ensure clinicians have access to key clinical systems on demand, Partners HealthCare, one of the largest integrated healthcare systems in the country, will roll out technology to manage the performance of its critical systems.

Partners tapped the Detroit-based Compuware Corp. for performance management technology called Compuware Vantage to provide end-to-end visibility into the clinician end-user experience with Partners' electronic medical records system.

Partners' EMR system is used by more than 6,000 doctors and nurses who depend on the system for patient care.

Partners HealthCare was founded by Brigham and Women's Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital. In addition to its two academic medical centers, the system includes community and specialty hospitals, community health centers, a physician network, home health and long-term care services and other entities.

For large healthcare systems like Partners, Business Service Delivery helps ensures that EMR systems deliver the consistent, high-quality experience from the clinician's perspective needed to maximize productivity and minimize risk to patients, he said.
