HORSHAM, PA – NextGen Healthcare Information Systems has allied with Dell to deliver healthcare IT and services to medical practices of all sizes, rural and community hospitals and physician networks.

Under the agreement, Dell will market, sell and support NextGen Ambulatory EHR, NextGen Practice Management, NextGen Inpatient Clinicals, NextGen Inpatient Financials and other NextGen solutions as components of Dell’s EMR solutions for hospitals and physicians.

Dell will also use a cloud technology platform to host NextGen applications to simplify access and data management for Dell and NextGen clients. Dell also becomes the hardware platform-of-choice for all NextGen solutions as well as for NextGen Healthcare’s internal use, say executives.

“Dell and NextGen Healthcare are committed to delivering leading-edge solutions that will assist healthcare providers in the delivery of higher quality, better coordinated care,” said Patrick Cline, president of Quality Systems. “This agreement will leverage the capabilities of both organizations to build on the strengths of our success and capitalize on unprecedented market opportunities.”

“By combining our capabilities into integrated solutions with a continuum of implementation options, Dell and NextGen Healthcare are simplifying the adoption and use of electronic medical records and information sharing between healthcare providers,” added Jamie Coffin, vice president and general manager of Dell Healthcare and Life Sciences. “This is critical to accelerating use of digital patient information across our healthcare system.”
