BARCELONA, Spain – A cardiograph designed for intuitive use and enhanced clinical decision support will be on display at the European Society of Cardiology's 2009 Congress, August 29 through Sept. 2.
The PageWriter TC50 is Royal Philips Electronics' latest product in the cardiography market. The machine is touted for its ability to handle up to 16 leads for a complete view of the heart and the speed and ease of operation its user interface enables.
Additionally, the PageWriter is equipped with a DXL Algorithm and ECG analysis program that can make differentiations and identifications for varying gender-based heart conditions and symptoms, such as acute global ischemia.
“We have developed this product as part of Philips' ongoing efforts to simplify cardiac care now and in the future," said Joris van den Hurk, vice president of cardiology programs for Philips Healthcare. "The PageWriter TC50 and the DXL Algorithm help clinicians in their decision-making by presenting the right information with clarity at the right time. As one product in our innovative Discovery to Treatment portfolio, the PageWriter TC50 supports healthcare facilities in their goal of meeting the ESC's guideline of less than two hours from first medical contact to treatment."
