WASHINGTON – In conjunction with National Health IT Week, National eHealth Collaborative (NeHC) officials have announced the unveiling of "a significantly expanded and redesigned organization website" designed to provide a central meeting place for stakeholders from across the health IT industry.
NeHC officials said the site should provide a place for HIT stakeholders to learn, network and collaborate on solutions to some of the most challenging barriers to widespread interoperable health information exchange.
“We encourage everyone to take advantage of the opportunities for information-sharing and collaboration that our new site offers,” said NeHC CEO Kate Berry.“The value of the knowledgebase and online community will increase exponentially as more stakeholders participate and contribute."

According to NeHC, the redesigned website includes a comprehensive library of relevant information, tools and resources built by stakeholders, for stakeholders, that will keep pace with the rapidly changing health IT environment.
All stakeholders are encouraged to submit non-commercial resources on any health IT-related topic for inclusion in the NeHC knowledgebase. "This knowledgebase has already been seeded by many participants in the Consumer Consortium on eHealth and offers a wealth of resources related to consumer engagement in health IT," according to officials.

The expanded website will provide an online community and collaborative workspace for all health IT stakeholders, said NeHC execs. It will include:
- A place in the eHealth story blog for stakeholders, and people from all walks of life to share their success stories and challenges related to HIT adoption.
- New easy-to-navigate pages that will put make all of NeHC University’s information on health IT and health information exchange in one place.
- A Nationwide Health Information Network Exchange, still under development, and an HIE Leadership Network.
- Social media connectivity and access to NeHC's YouTube Channel.
