BUFFALO, NY – HealthNow New York, Inc., which does business as BlueCross BlueShield of Western New York and BlueShield of Northeastern New York, is implementing a Web-based portal strategy that officials expect to efficiently and rapidly grow its community-rated health insurance plan offerings. HealthNow began deploying technology from Southborough, Mass.-based ikaSystems Corp. in February and expects the full system to go live this summer. The technology will provide an integrated online environment for the health plan’s employee base, brokers, members and employer groups.
