PALO ALTO, CA – The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs announced Monday that HP Enterprise Services will be a prime contractor for the VA Transformation Twenty-One Total Technology (T4) program, which aims at transforming the VA’s IT programs in order to improve quality of healthcare and benefits services to veterans, their families and survivors.

HP Enterprise Services also has been awarded the Enrollment Modernization Technical Support task order under the Veterans Relationship Management (VRM) Information Technology Solutions and Support Services (ITSS) program contract vehicle to provide applications development services. HP will implement an integrated IT infrastructure that will consolidate patient and military data to ensure accurate and timely customer service for veterans. This consolidation will improve data sharing within the VA as well as with external departments such as the U.S. Department of Defense, said officials.

HP will also compete for task orders under the $480 million VA VRM ITSS multiple-award Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity contract. This relationship management contract vehicle, which has a five-year base period, was developed to establish on-demand access to benefits information and services for veterans.

“To better serve the evolving needs of veterans while embracing advances in healthcare, the VA has implemented IT reform initiatives that will drive improvements in the delivery of benefits and coordinated healthcare,” said Dennis Stolkey, senior vice president and general manager, U.S. Public Sector, HP Enterprise Services. “As a VA T4 and VRM vendor, HP will enable the VA to easily adopt innovative technology and processes that will help ensure reliable, secure access to benefits and healthcare for all veterans.”

T4 is a five-year program that will be comprised of of up to 15 prime contractors who will provide the VA with IT solutions encompassing all services needed to integrate systems, networks, software and other IT products.  The services and IT products may cover the entire life-cycle of a system, and include program management, strategic planning, systems and software engineering, cybersecurity, operation and maintenance and IT facility support.

Under the VA T4 multiple-award Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity contract, worth up to $12 billion, HP will compete for task orders to provide advanced technology solutions across multiple functional areas. The contract has a five-year base period and serves as a centralized source for the VA to buy a wide range of IT services. Expediting the acquisition and delivery of IT services will enable the agency to rapidly achieve its goal of providing world-class benefits and services to veterans.

HP will be teaming with numerous small and veteran-owned businesses to enhance overall service offerings to the VA and meet the agency’s diverse mission-critical needs, said officials.
