SANTA CLARA, CA – The executives of five hospitals today delivered the results of in-house studies that showed a tablet-sized mobile clinical assistant has boosted clinician productivity across the board.
They also reported improved clinician satisfaction, better adherence to medication administration protocols and decreased latency in recording patient information.
Intel Corporation and Motion Computing brought together the executives - and also former Congresswoman Nancy Johnson - for a Web seminar at which the companies touted the C5 mobile clinical assistant, or MCA.
The MCA, launched in February, is now being used in more than 1,000 hospitals worldwide.
Motion Computing and Intel developed the C5 based on extensive research and collaboration with thousands of clinicians and clinical systems and software providers.
The idea is to provide clinicians with patient information at the bedside.
