WASHINGTON – Health2 Resources has provided free access to it’s new educational Web portal. The portal provides information and up-to-date news articles on the patient-centered medical home.

By providing resources and information, the main goal is to keep healthcare policymakers, providers, employers and suppliers up to speed on the effects that PCMHs are having on the nation healthcare industry. By putting the patient at the forefront of healthcare delivery, primary care providers are able to give better, uninterrupted care, Health2 officials stated.

The H2RMinutes Web portal provides a weekly free e-news brief to more than 18,000 national, regional and state PCMH stakeholders. The Web portal provides it’s readers with summaries of timely and up-to-date news about community impact and national dialogue relating to the PCMH.

Major sponsorship for Health2 Resources comes from the Patient-Centered Primary Care Collaborative (PCPCC). This coalition membership includes healthcare stakeholders such as major employers, consumer groups, patient quality organizations, health plans, labor unions, hospitals, physicians and many others who have an interest in expanding the uses of the PCMH.

"H2RMinutes delivers the breaking news and timely research that stakeholders need to stay in the know about the PCMH," said Katherine H. Capps, president of Health2 Resources. "Readers can scan or delve more deeply into the articles and research linked to the H2RMinutes portal. The articles are relevant, and help them stay informed of meaningful market examples about how PCMH is improving healthcare delivery, how providers are adopting the PCMH and using health information technology, and what policymakers are doing to extend the reach of the medical home."

Deployed originally as an internal initiative, Health2 Resources was created in recognition of a need for news and information as well as new research regarding the PCMH. News briefs and articles published reach a number of healthcare industry’s movers and shakers that include providers, suppliers, consumer advocates, policy makers, and primary care professionals.
