Get ready to check out the latest health IT products and services in a relaxed environment. Explore the Exhibit Hall of the HIMSS Virtual Conference & Expo in a comfortable chair.

Amcom Software will be showcasing its latest solutions, including its Amcom Mobile Connect, which allows users to replace pagers with smartphones, according to Jenae Cahanes, eMarketing manager. Stop by Amcom’s booth to learn how to send prioritized, role-based notifications from a nurse call, patient monitoring, security and many other systems to staff’s mobile communication devices. Chat live with Amcom staff to discover how its broad product offering can simplify communications, including streamlining code STEMI procedures, contact center optimization and on-call scheduling.

Oracle, a strategic software solutions provider to the health sciences industry, is showcasing comprehensive industry solutions on meaningful use and quality management, enterprise performance management, governance and compliance, personalized healthcare and accountable care. Oracle partners with health sciences industry leaders – including 14 of the top Fortune Global 500 healthcare organizations – to prevent and cure disease, enhance quality of life and accelerate insights for better health, according to Ambre Chevalier, marketing manager for Healthcare. “As a new exhibitor, Oracle looks forward to working with HIMSS to pioneer the next generation of networking and exhibition opportunities,” Chevalier said.

Seasoned exhibitors HP and VMware together will be showcasing all of their healthcare-related product offerings. See HP’s suite of storage and servers, including Bladesystem servers; personal computing products, including desktops, imaging and printing assets, notebooks, and mobility devices; medical image archiving, software and services; along with VMware’s virtualization solutions for healthcare providers. For the first time exhibiting together, attendees will see VMware’s Virtualization solutions for healthcare from desktop through the datacenter and to the cloud.

Together, HP and VMware are committed to delivering healthcare solutions that modernize health IT providing greater efficiency and higher levels of availability, which translates directly into better patient care, said Joan Hankin, marketing manager for HP’s America’s Health and Life Sciences Industry. “HP’s products and solutions drastically improve server and storage utilization, as well as reduce cooling costs and power usage,” she said.

First-time exhibitor CDW Healthcare will showcase its health IT, including ambulatory and clinical solutions, such as electronic health records (EHRs), infrastructure optimization solutions, point of care (POC) solutions, networking solutions, security solutions and unified communications solutions. Attendees will be able to download a broad variety of materials, including videos, case studies and white papers.

More than 50 CDW Healthcare account managers and specialists will be available to answer questions on each solution, according to Vice President Bob Rossi. To help attendees plan their virtual conference experience, CDW Healthcare has set up a schedule of times at its booth for select solution specialists. Please check the booth for days and times for the specific technology solutions.

“Throughout the day, these specialists and engineers will be offering assessments to help healthcare organizations of all kinds improve their networks, lower their bottom line and boost productivity,” Rossi said.

“We chose to participate in this year’s conference as a means of reaching a completely new audience, via an entirely new medium and means of engaging customers,” Rossi said. “This is a great opportunity to highlight not only the product solutions CDW Healthcare offers, but also our knowledgeable industry specialists and account managers. We are excited and interested to see what the results are and how we can best deliver the right information, education and materials to our customers.”

Second-year exhibitor Iron Mountain will showcase solutions for accessing, managing and protecting vital health information, starting with a suite of services to enable a faster, easier path to electronic medical records (EMRs), according to Karen Snyder, senior manager for Iron Mountain Healthcare Solutions.

Visitors can also learn about a cloud-based approach to storing medical images, complete with a vendor neutral archive option. “And it’s all wrapped up with strategies for maintaining HIPAA compliance, leveraging Iron Mountain’s years of experience and best-practice approach to healthcare solutions,” Snyder said.

Iron Mountain healthcare experts will host informative presentations and demos. Visitors can access case studies and white papers, and enter for a chance to win a $100 American Express gift card and an iFlip camera. Details can be found at www.ironmountain.com/rules.

“With budgets and travel restrictions as they are today, this virtual exhibit is a truly valuable and efficient use of technology, for technologically savvy buyers,” Snyder said.

Returning exhibitor PC Connection booth is packed with information specially selected to help attendees assess and address their IT requirement, point-of-care and compliance needs. The company is also highlighting products, services, and solutions from HP, Cisco, Symantec, Lenovo and Enovate.

Visitors to the PC Connection booth will learn how virtualization supports fast and secure access to patient information and enhances business continuity for healthcare. Visitors will also have access to podcasts on topics such as EHR and meaningful use, technology webinars, literature and an opportunity to register for a chance to win an Apple iPad.

PC Connection participates in the virtual conference because the range of educational materials the company can offer is much greater than at a physical event. Attendees can also select items based on their interests and download them to view at their convenience.

“We’ve also noticed that the online format lowers barriers, and attendees are more comfortable asking us questions,” a spokeswoman for PC Connection said.
