COLCHESTER, UK – Independent healthcare provider Care UK will roll out IMS MAXIMS at its three specialist diagnostic centers. The patient management solution is expected to help Care UK deliver streamlined diagnostic services.
Operating GP practices, out-of-hours services, NHS walk-in centers and Clinical Assessment and Treatment Services (CATS), Care UK provides accessible healthcare services. As commissioned by NHS, Care UK’s diagnostic centers offer X-ray, ultrasound, ECG and MRI.
The IMS MAXIMS browser-based patient management software, enables staff to electronically manage patient data through the Choose & Book (C&B) module. Appointment scheduling, correspondence and performance monitoring systems are all included in the solution.
“IMS MAXIMS ensured the solution design met our functionality objectives, was responsive to the needs and working patterns of both clinical and administrative staff users, and could be implemented seamlessly,” noted Jardine Barrington-Cook, head of business systems at Care UK.
Care UK has worked with IMS MAXIMS before, using their software in three mobile clinical units in Greater Manchester that rotate around seven sites in the area.
The mobile units provide musculoskeletal, general surgery, ENT, gynecology, urology and endoscopy assessment and treatment services. The IMS MAXIMS solution implemented for the mobile units allows staff to manage patients from referral to discharge.
