DENVER – The Breakaway Group, which assists healthcare providers in adopting new technology and equipment, has named five nationally recognized healthcare leaders to its advisory board. The board will help the company with its strategy, financial planning and business development.
Those named to the committee are as follows:
David Batstone, a professor of ethics at the University of San Francisco and founder and president of Right Realty, an international social venture firm. An author of several books, including Not for Sale and Saving the Corporate Soul, he was the founding editor of Business 2.0 magazine and is currently the senior editor of Motto magazine.
David S. Chernow, president and CEO of JA Worldwide, a corporation dedicated to educating young people about business, economics and the free enterprise system. He co-founded American Oncology Resources in 1992 and led the company through its merger to form US Oncology in 1999.
Brian Kosar, president of Kosar Investments, a Cleveland-based venture capital company. He is the founder of Scout.com, a media network with more than 200 publications that was acquired last year by FOXSports.com.
Paula Morgan, RN, founder and managing partner of Morgan Consulting Resources, an executive recruiting firm for the healthcare industry. She has served on the board of directors and was senior vice president of healthcare services at Sierra Health Services.
Jeffrey R. Woodside, MD, executive vice president and chief medical officer of the University of Tennessee Medical Group. His 25-year career includes faculty appointments at the University of New Mexico’s School of Medicine and the University of Texas Medical School in Houston.
