The Massachusetts eHealth Collaborative (MAeHC) was formed in 2004 designed to bring Massachusetts' major health care players together for the purpose of conducting a pilot program around health IT. Over three and a half years, MAeHC designed, deployed and installed electronic health records for approximately 600 providers across three varied communities, using four different EHR vendors. In each of these communities, MAeHC also co-developed and designed a health information exchange using two separate HIE vendors. Now a professional services company, MAeHC assists for-profit and non-profit private organizations, government agencies and multi-stakeholder collaboratives to plan, deploy, operate and optimize health information systems. Services vary from EHR implementations to health information exchange to quality data extraction, warehousing, analytics and reporting.
