The Military Health System (MHS) is a partnership of medical educators, medical researchersand healthcare providers who ensure delivery of care to all DoD service members, retireesand their families. It’s a source of education, medical training, research, technology, and policy. The organization consists of the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Health Affairs; the medical departments of the Army, Navy, Air Forceand Joint Chiefs of Staff; the Combatant Command surgeons; and the TRICARE providers.updated February 15, 2012
