Directory » Organizations
AMIA is a professional scientific organization formed by the merger of three organizations in 1989: the American Association for Medical Systems and Informatics, the American College of Medical Informatics, and the Symposium on Computer Applications in Medical Care. Today, its goal is to transform healthcare through trusted science, education, and the practice of informatics.
The company connects a broad community of professionals and students interested in informatics. For more than 35 years, the organization and its college, ACMI, have sponsored meetings, education, policy, and research programs. AMIA continues to gain influence as a voice in the field of informatics through the individual and collective efforts of its members.
