HIMSS Professional Development and Informatics continues to move forward with creating and facilitating programs in support of the nursing community. Creating opportunities for the nursing profession to tap into and learn from other nurse executives about the empowerment of an informatics career pathway is a major HIMSS initiative. To date, we have had two successful nursing informatics events: SHARP HealthCare and the Cleveland Clinic. Both were sold out events offering a learning environment that built upon career portfolios and simultaneously enhancing the knowledge of nurses when implementing information technology. This ultimately supports enhancing nursing workflow, promotes patient safety and yields quality outcomes that improve patient care.
We are now offering another phenomenal venue being held at Baylor Health Care Systems; registration is now open. This event at Baylor Health Care Systems in Irving, TX will be held on Friday, September 28th, 2012. Please visit the website for more information.
